I dont think anyones dumb enough to buy on of these..unless your a rich office worker *** that drives an audi or some bullsht. And if you come out in the lineup your gunna get ur ass kicked and laughed on ALL day. I doubt ill ever see one around here though honestly.. maybe when the bennys come down for rental season.

you know how people that have disabilities can use marijuana legally with a license? they should require a license for using the motorized surf board and the only people who are allowed to get these licenses are people who used to surf but cant anymore because they are paralyzed.

I had to throw away my December issue of Surfing Magazine a few minutes ago after vomiting all over it when I saw the ad for the Wavejet Propulsion Surfboard... Its motto? "Change the way you experience the water." Seriously? Paddling is a huge part of surfing, something that can sometimes separate the average from the above average and this company is dissolving that barrier. I personally think that this idea is effed up and an attempt to modernize surfing which will, hopefully, fall on its face. I know someone posted about these boards before, but now they're in Surfing... Any thoughts? Do you think the boards will find success or flop?

I think that the success of this board depends largely on how the surf community accepts it...In my opinion this type of board is not enough to get "non surfers" into the water so sales will depend largely on current surfers dropping the $$ to buy one, which seems pretty unlikely. You may see some SUPer-type people try it out but I doubt it will become mainstream. I for one hope that it fails before it even gets going. I haven't seen one yet and hope that I never do.

The short term success of this board will be determined on it's patent. If other companies can make a knock off and lower the cost of this board...watch out! If there is a strict patent than I do not see much success for this board at least for the next decade or so.

But I can say this... somebody told me the Walden Magic is the best selling single model worldwide. If that's true, watch out...

Its just straight marketing, no one is going to buy them, probably only one board exists for the photos anyway. But for those who didn't know about Walden boards - now they take notice. Mission accomplished. Thus the Walden Magic retains it's title as the #1 selling board for a while longer.
When will under $400 custom, logo-less, white boards be cool to own again?

If you don't like the ads, unsubscribe. Surfing has little to no editorial say on the ad content. They make their money based on ads. The rates are set based on number of subscribors So instead of vomiting unsubscribe. Turn down free subsciptions too. I've long given up on these mainstream mags as they are nothing but Ads and airs. As for the boards themselves, I am sure many beaches may out law them anyways, as they are motorized in swim areas. If not try apealing to town councils etc. Since it's motorized would the user be required to register it as a vessel and have the appropriate life vest on board?
