The company I work for is offering a 1000 dollar community grant to a local nonprofit organization that is for the preservation of natural resources . I would love for surfrider to get the money but somebody from the organization has to go online an apply for it . So if anybody from surf rider or another local ocean conservation group wants some more information feel free to pm me an I can give you the details

surfrider is a big animal. It is a non profit that still has to fund many things with the donation money. Much like giving to a church. If you can find some solid information about a Local organization that is doing some real work in your area. There is quite a bit of wildlife, so $1000 could go directly to a cause that could really help your community, rather than the surfing world as a whole. You may want to consider trying to find something that could help protect a surf break, or some kind of wildlife that could be threatened by pollution... I just think on a micro level you could really do some good right in your own backyard directly.
