About a dozen stitches in my head from a guy who bailed his board... about shoulder high.
Torn MCL on about a head high day.
That's about it in 35 years of surfing.
Smashed my head on my desk resulting in a severe concussion from members not using the search function before creating a thread.
best answer ever. made my day....i got cornholed by a longboard fin once. blood,pain and severe humiliation.not to mention the grief inflicted by my friends. and yes,i was surfing when it happenedOriginally Posted by dmonster
OJ out the nose on that one dmonster, thank you. Numerous dings to the head, and a fin in the armpit. Did not cut the wetsuit but gashed the armpit pretty good.
broken nose when i was just a grom, some stitchs to my calf from fin puncture....numerous occasions of a damaged ego whiffing on the takeoff on the wave of the set while all the boys are watching...
18 outside, 30+ inside... Over the falls, luckily not a very big wave, infected 3 days later, out 5 1/2 weeks.
i scratched my arm on a jetty once... it didn't break the skin or anything but it was red for like 15 minutes after that tho.. pretty tramatic experience
"tramatic" sounds gnarly, almost like a disorder.
5 staples...nothing crazy I guess.
