you know you guys are 100% right about Obama...let's see without him the automobile industry would have collapsed, Bin Ladin wouldn't have a bullet in his head. He's not a socialist, no matter how much Fox news you watch. and Republicans should be ashamed of themselves for holding the country back and fighting him on everything he tries to do.
Republicans remind me of a spoiled brat who doesn't get what he/she wants, so they ruin it for everyone else.
Granted, he may not be the best president, but considering the sh*t he was left to handle from the last jackass, I'd say he's done pretty well.

I in no way defend Bush. However, read my other post on this thread. POLITICAL HISTORY DID NOT BEGIN WITH BUSH!!!!
Also, read this: http://writingcenter.unc.edu/resourc...aper/fallacies
You are guilty of at least 4 and arguably 6. If you cannot read and comprehend that, then you should revisit basic exponential and argumentative style.
If you actually believe what you wrote to be true and effective, then you need even more work than reviewing typical logical fallacies. I will be glad to dissect your post if you like...
PS, the only people in modern politics acting like spoiled brats are the Occupy kids

DEFINITION OF SOCIALISM:
1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3: a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done
For those who would attempt to spin this definition, "distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done" specifically means that Marx believed that the "wealthy elite" were the benefactors of "unequal distribution of goods and pay" in comparison to the "working class", who did 99% of the actual work.
Make no mistake, I am not advocating Marxism, Socialism or Communism. I am an independent, because I believe that neither the Liberals nor the Conservatives have the best interests of our nation or our people. They are merely catering to lobbyists and campaign donors.
However, I am sick and tired of the certain leanings of voters that continue to call our current POTUS a "socialist", "communist", or even worse, "Nazi". I don't agree with all his policies, but he certainly falls under NONE of these blanket statements.
Examples of "Socialist" countries: Cuba, and North Korea. PERIOD. China is still Socialist, but undergoing dramatic Capatalistic changes. Same with Russia and East Germany.
Please show me where the United States owns even a small portion of American business and resources, such as PEMEX in Mexico, GAZPROM in Russia, etc. Please show me where the U.S. has ever attempted to take over private property, which cannot be owned in China or Cuba, truly "socialist" countries.
My point is, don't be so foolishly blinded by your political loyalty or "patriotism", a phrase that is being loosely thrown about way too much these days. If you're going to throw around a lot of strong words and accusations, you may want to pick up a dictionary first.

People who think republicans and democrats are different make me laugh. It seems pretty clear that America has become a one-party system and that party - whatever you want to call it - is concerned only with serving the ruling class that props them up. They plunder taxpayers to take care of their major donors and line their own pockets at the same time. My advice - not that anyone wants it - is get yourself a piece of land someplace close to waves (or whatever matters to you) where you can take care of yourself and your family, because if you think your government gives a flock about you, you're sadly mistaken.
Perhaps they should hire all the old Acorn community organizers to register illegal aliens fictional characters and dead people. Pfffffffft.

I wasnt saying you dont know what your talking about.
I really think this country is digging into a deep, deep hole, and has fiscal and foreign policy problems that are so bad if they arent solved really soon, the hole will be so deep it will take decades or longer to solve, and will cause a lot of pain. The next presidential and congressional elections are going to be really critical and few if any politicians are willing to make necessary but unpopular decisions because the whole process of governing has been corrupted by obsessions over winning the PR-perception battle, media coverage, constant campaigning, and constant fund raising. Any serious attempt at problem solving goes out the window. Just look at the last 72 hours in congress.
In your post your use the following reference points:
"I have this new color of lipstick you can try out on that pig of yours"
"Chicago-style buddy-buddy cronyism"
"fresh,* *successful,* or *changey"
"Democratic Kool Aid mill"
I guess the point i was trying sarcastically, but unsuccessfully, to make is that these kinds of flame throwing slogans are at the core of what is wrong. They are VERY useful in winning PR battles, and getting ratings for MSNBC, FOX and the like. Using those reference points in a debate brings the discussion down to the gutter politics level that has gotten us to where we are.
