    I think that's a good idea. When I was learning I wasted some time trying other boards thinking that they would make me surf better when I really just should have stuck with what I was comfortable on. You'll know when you're ready to drop down in size, it just takes some time and patience. I think for your experience level and size a 6'4" is pretty solid. Have fun out there man!

    Go with the 6.0' Piranah, I switched from 6'4" to 5'10" and found the smaller board is more snappier in turns and provides more control. It does taking getting youst to, but worth dealing with the growing pains. I will only breakout my 6'4" when swell is huge. I am 5'9" 170lbs, you being 6' I would recommend getting a 6' or 6'2" with a little more width then your 6'4".
