    Surfing in NJ

I would like to get into surfing this upcomming summer. Only problem is here in NJ the waves aren't very big. Knee high on average. I was curious what type of board I should get for those types of waves. I am 5'8" 160lbs. I was looking at a Gary Fisher Quad Fish. Any suggestions would help.

    Thanks

Idk.. I think NJ waves can be okay when utilized correctly with the right amount of skill and knowledge of how the waves work... Sure this isn't California, we don't have a second chance down the face to land that turn or air. We have one chance. And thats why when we travel to other places with "better" waves, we ****ing rip it up. Jersey surfers are ill.

Buy a used board I'd say.. like a big fish.

Yeah haha, I just mean height wise. Take a look on craigslist, people are always putting up used boards.

Yeah man knee high at best. I would go somewhere else to learn as the waves suck here.
