    Catch Surf Boards

What do you guys think about boards by Catchsurf. Beaters and beaters keep appearing all over the place now. How do you feel about them? Waste of money, so fun, not cool?

Ive been wondering the same thing ... they seem pretty lame or are more geared towards younger kids, in my opinion

So much fun at a beach that has a lifeguard for my son. Floats me as well so when he's not on it I am!!! can be used to bodyboard, kneeboard or surf if you can get the hang of it.

    Regards,
    Dean

These boards are allot of fun; the only draw back is if youre in the 170 lb + range there's not much float for surfing and if I had to purchase another one I would get the one with the removable fin.

I think Beaters are pretty stupid. Just stand up on your boogie board, that's what I do at beaches where you can't surf. Catch Surf does make other boards that look pretty fun, though.

I stand up boogie when its small and let me just say it is FUN! The beater is too flimsy IMO but if youre agile then def try stand up when the waves are small or there are guards. Ive gotten so many fun shorebreak barrels just from messing with my herlihy. Itll help your surfing too, the fins will make your board feel like an F1 car after youve used a small, finless board.

Oh yea forgot to add it really helps you learn how to use your body and weight to hold the rail, you wont be using your feet nearly as much as you will be bending and leaning into the wave.
