craigslist a log or a funboard. $200 should get you something decent. Post pics of your prospects we can help you say yay/nay
WOW- UNBELIEVABLE!!! good eye- that is crazy!!! DON'T GET THAT BOARD- total waste of money- and probably smells like hot garbage too!
Take everyone's advise (plus the other million threads on beginners boards) and get a big REAL fiberglass board- do your self a favor and get a beat up longboard off craigslist for cheap then get a better board next year...
DO NOT GET A FIBERGLASS BOARD.
for a first surfboard i ALWAYS recommend a 8'6" "wave storm" from costco. you cant hurt it and it cant hurt you.
those ebay boards look way too small to learn on. im a decent surfer and i love to take a wavestorm out now and again, they're fun boards
8-9 foot fun board or long board in 'glass or epoxy. it'll make your progression more consistent and you will have a product that will retain its life (and value) over a longer time...practice your popups and practice arm paddling with no kick...when you get to a short board you can kick again.....good luck
