    Question Winter Webbed gloves?

    Hi everyone,
So I found out that 7mm only come in mittens not lobster claw. Hmmm... I would REALLY like to get something to help keep my hands warn AND help my paddling power.

Does anyone know if the Power webbed gloves come in 7mm for winter? Or if they are flexible enough to slip over my lobster claws?

    gloves

I've never seen a webbed glove that was thick neoprene except from some kayaking site but that was years ago and I've forgotten the URL. My friend still has a pair and loves em. I;ve got a pair of O-Neill 5mil gloves (fingers) that are nice and warm, and I think HotLine out of Santa Cruz, CA makes a good coldwater glove. The webbing can be tough on your shoulders if you've got issues there, since the joints and muscles aren't used to that amount of resistance. Good luck.

    Smile webbed gloves

    Hey there,
you are not the first person that has said that the webbed gloves give your shoulders a mean work out hmmm, I thought that was supposed to help more than hurt the situation

One surfer from the surf shop said that the 7mm mittens will help with the paddle power simply because they are mittens and are thicker. I might have to save the webbed gloves for the spring time

    Thanks~

    Webbed gloves

I have actually heard of injuries to shoulders being exacerbated by using webbed gloves. Never heard of the mitten effect. no advice there.

It's a good point you make about shoulder problems. I do have something going on in my right shoulder when paddling without webbed gloves, so it's pretty likely the gloves would make it worse.

I should have thought of this myself--I remember noticing increased strain in my leg muscles when first using fins.

    Exclamation Yikes

Okay fellas, you have talked me out of the webbed gloves, I'll just use 7mm mittens and do extra push-ups!

    Hope your shoulder get better!
