I love how NJ is "cold". I surf the coast of northern mass through Maine and everyone is so chill. We all are just stoked to be in the water.. And sure the kooks and newbs come outta the cracks during like mid June but the surf generally sucks and there's no parking anyways. When it's waist high and I'm on a board bigger then 6 ft or an alaia I don't use a leash. But when there's people in the water and it's bigger what's the problem. There are a bunch of kids that talk bad about the old guys on long boards... And sure they snake every wave possible but I surf with those guys all through the winter and they are chill and really deserve the waves they take.. Everyone seems to be always against another but why not just paddle harder and pump faster and surf better then everyone else... Then it doesn't matter how many kooks are out there you actually own the water instead of acting like you do.

It was fun, it was safe, it was REGULATED by those in the water. No F%cking lawsuits or cops.
Now, everyone wants to claim their right to surf no matter their age, skill level, or type of craft. Is change always a good thing?
    Well said!

Did you really say you didn't want to talk back to some kid who's dad is king of the beach. A Vietnam Vet with his own right hander? And if you stood up to his kid the town will turn against you?! You typed all that and never thought about how ridiculous it sounds? Soft

Everyone gets tired of some kook getting in the way, but it happens. If someone is obviously out to disrespect others, well things work themselves out. You are "CALLING OUT" people on a surf forum?!! The same people that surf? Usually don't post, but these usual tough guy posts are pathetic. Your board is going to hit the wrong person one day, and you might be looking to "call the cops." Hopefully the other 966 posts of yours do not consist of crying......

Your turn......show your "tough-guy" internet skills! Freakin tool
I totally agree jtblue18 and are amazed that this kind of inane thinking is from an adult. Here's a thought-do dawn patrol if you want to avoid newby's.

I don't understand the desire to harm others. If it's a crowded spot, wear a leash. If not, screw it. It's not that big of a deal to start raging on a forum over. There will always be kooks, summer surfers, and people who generally get in the ****ing way. Take this from a new surfer's perspective...if you find too many people in your way, move further down on the break. There's plenty of places to catch waves.
Relax, this is the NOYA thread, don't take anything you see seriously, it's a freaking zoo of a thread, have fun!

Chapter 5: Somehow Trayvon Martin takes Over The Thread
Chapter 6: Earl of Funk/Duke of Cool Changes Name to Chavez Because he Realizes He is Not an Earl and he is No Longer Cool.
Chapter 7: One Year Anniversary Revival. See Intro. For Reason
