    Surf trip in Jerzey

Im heading down to obx for a little surf trip and I want to know where I should stop in Jersey on the way back. I was thinking Manasquan or LBI possibly mommonth. I'm just wondering what spots are pumping this year.

Manasquan is in Monmouth. Usually nothing in NJ is pumping during the summer, especially without storms. You will have to play it by ear (or eye).

The good sandbars change for the summer around my way. Central NJ picks up the most swell but may not be the best part of the state if itís bigger groundswell. I'm sure you know August has tropical potential, even though wind swell usually has better shape around here (I NEED REEF!). That's all I got. People probably aren't too keen on publically posting their summer spots considering the population increase in the water at this time of year. Good luck

In August in NJ it mostly depends on whether there's a hurricane moving up the coast and how the wind is blowing. I've had tons of times where this website along with others said it would only be 2-3ft, when really it's around 4-6ft because of a northern wind. This may only be my beach, but when the wind is blowing from the north, the waves get much larger and develop huge barrels.
