    Long-Range Forecast: Tuesday

I was looking at the Wave-Height chart and around Tuesday, it appears a Hurricane will be moving up the coast. I was just wondering how the heck they figured that would happen because I looked at the National Hurricane Center and the only one South of us that is partially in existence now is in the Gulf. It's odd because MSW also has that too.

Tis the season... Zoom out on the wave maps to East Coast or Gulf regions, and you will see that the forecasted system begins in the gulf and crosses over Florida to the Atlantic...

Eh.. I'm not buying this as reality, more like a dream. The thing has a 20% chance to turn into something in the next 48 hours, right now its just a few big rain clouds. For NJ, there's usually only 1 hurricane each year that helps the waves (Bill, Earl, Irene), and i doubt it would happen this early because the 3 i listed all happened late August/ early September. Besides that, I'm hoping it doesn't happen because I'll be out of town until the 29th >_<

Yeah well...it still COULD happen. MSW isnt wrong 100% of the time.

MSW is wrong most of the time, they dont take into account wind direction and which way the beach is facing. They also rate days that are 1-2ft (flat) 1 star, and days that are sometimes 3-4ft no stars. Their long-range is god awful and changes everyday

Well Spring is a lot different than Summer, and Canes often bring good waves for the whole week, let alone 1 day.

The small tropical storms that skirt up the coast can sometimes be the best. Not saying this area in the gulf is going to do anything, but these types of scenarios can be good...
