why does it get brown?

ya, I love that green color that jersey water can get..

When the wind goes off shore the waves line up and the bottom doesn't get as washed up ,when it's onshore and looking victory at sea like more sand washes up and turns the water brown. Also when it"s big and off shore the the waves are breaking in deeper water

It sure makes for some ugly photos. I hate when my friends from the west coast show me pics of their nice blue water.

in the summer, blue backlit mornings, brown evenings. same in the winter for the most part
