Its interesting to see how everyone manages to paddle out in bigger surf. We all have our own techniques and i am excited to try some when we get some surf again. I think i can safely say there arnt a heck of alot of girls on here, but some, like myself, may just read what they want and not post often (if at all)? you guys all crack me up for some of the stuff that is said on here. Entertaining to say the least
Reading these posts leaves me confused about turning turtle, thunder down under . . . I was going to say the Eskimo thing, but I'm just not Inuit (joke, get it, in-to-it . . . in - u - it. . . ) Anyway, I learned in overhead Guiones surf, and was taught to hug the board to my bod while the wave washes over me. Then I see we've got a senior member here, who seems like a reliable source, suggesting that you let your body hang perpendicular to the board, like an anchor. All I know is that being in between those two postures has NEVER worked well for me . . . oh, 9'4" x 22.75 x 2.75 Tim Nolte HPLB and I'm 6' 160 lbs. Is there a consensus as to what a real eskimo, or turtle, or aussie would do?
