I'm not Hawaiian, but I can tell you my board is long and THICK! Now really, I'm talking about my board....it's like 40 pounds.....and it surfs like a dream.

I seriously have no desire to short board. My goals are to hang 5, 10, heels, and stand on my head. I'd like to learn all the graceful things. I'd also like to get into tandem surfing (when I get good enough to not hurt my partner).

And then there is kiteboarding....that's the next epic step for me.

I use to call myself "Queen Nose Dive of the Clan Flounder About". But I am thrilled to report that I am now dialed in.....yippie! It's soooo much better than eating shyt all day, everyday.

who knows. as you are aware, surfing it a tough game and can be dangerous. it also requires a huge amount of dedication to get decent. Alot of women don't want to put in the time. Add in super cold winter temps up here in the mid-atlantic and the dainty ones drop out fast.
