I was completely expecting flat in Maryland as well, popped over the dune, and to my surprise waist high south lines were sweeping in every 10 minutes or so. Actual swell. Shot this pic, and paddled out on the mini simmons for 3 hours. It was inconsistent, but when the sets came they were nice walled up rights - soft waves perfect for the little plank.
Wow those do look like some nice lil rights. I was in OCMD towards the end of may this year on a dead east swell with offshore winds in the morning and nothing was lining up. It was a bunch of head high close outs and I couldnt find a good sandbar becuase i don't really know the place and theres a bunch of condos in the way of checking the waves easily. :/
After looking at surfline's pics of yesterdays sesh, NJ being flat, and watching Germany get dominated in the Euros...I've never been more sour in my life
