Anyone else catch the end of the article? The fire truck responding to the scene hit a man who was holding his infant. Both were injured, it was the truck driver's last shift before retirement.

They are trying to control our lives. In Florida they closed one of our beaches because a hurricane was 2 days out. It was 2 to 3ft with off shores. Its going to get worse, just wait rip tides, jellyfish, etc. Beach closed! Fight for your rights, or we can only go out when its 1 foot. Surfs Up.

I've been making guards physically escort me out of the water my entire life, and i've never been ticketed. Stand your ground. The surf population increases every year but the amount of surfing beaches does not.
We're not going to stop paddling out, so they're going to have to address their issues in a more constructive way than just saying 'you cant do that'!
