Just wondering if anyone has tried this. I have an old fish that seems wide enough to make for a nice shape to throw around on these flat days. My thought was to basically cut out a nice template on the old fish utilizing the stringer. Then thin it down to the right thickness and reglass it. Seems simple enough. I think the stringer would actually add strength compared to a wooden marine ply board. My only worry is that there might be a little too much rocker, but I think this can be worked around.

Has anyone tried this with good results? Any pointers before I proceed? Just curious
