Help me pick a board shape for better wave catching

talk about magic, i picked up a 5'6 Sweet Potato RapidFire yesterday and took that carpet ride out in very small surf and caught more rides then i can count. I've never had that much fun in 1-2 ft. conditions, ever...

Nice scoop on the Sweet Potato. The SP is real solid and a fantastic board. I'm looking forward to the arrival of its brother - the "Baked Potato."

My opinion, either take the time to learn on a short board that has some shape, and a little float for your size. Or ride a regulation long board 9ft plus. The inbetweeners could mess up your ability to advance. Surfs Up!
