Put a fin through my foot a year ago, so I bought some equipment started shooting....still learning and gaining experience, but plan is to always be free...too many $25/shots sites out there.

Hey steelwave, those are some nice HDR shots. Have always wanted to try some but don't have the right editing software or skill at this point...

are you kidding me... those shots on your flickr are amazing... great colors and perspectives...
HDR is easy, if your camera can bracket (even if it doesn't it's not too hard).. just set it to bracket (I usually shoot 5 or 3 shots, seperated by .07 EV). Hold the camera superstill, or set it on something or use a tripod.
You basically need at least 3 shots to blend, one overexposed, one with correct exposure, and one underexposed.
The software I use is Photomatix, you can download a trial version for free to see if you like it, just google it. Once in Photomatix its very simple, you just load the bracketed shots and let the program tone map them. Once blended just use the sliders to mix to your liking.
