Today there was contest at the north side of Casino Pier. It was a charity event to go towards a cancer paitent who used to live and surf around here. Well it was HUGE. Lots of locals from the east coast like Sam Hammer and "Raven" were there. There was a big afterparty at the Crab's Claw. I'm just askin if anyone was there and what you thought about it?

We don't recall seeing any postings on contests for charities, if there was one and we missed it We would have loved to have joined in. Do they accept spongers in the contest? Where can we get charity info in the future?

Well for one thing, it was a straight up surf contest. No Sponging. But there was a women's heat or two. And I don't know where you can get info for events like that. My bro called me up the night before and told me to do it or he'd never talk to me again.
