I'm visiting late next month for my honeymoon, don't know if i'll be making too many new friends while newlywedding but i'm definitely getting a few days of surf in while we are there. That being said, should I just hang out by your lifted chevy and wait to someone walks up with a fat spliff?

  3. Yea man for sure. When u get here just get in touch w me thru this spot or like u said sit next to the truck till u see a 6 8 gringo walkn up. If i dont got the bud im on the way to getn it. Congrats on ur marriage. I hope u dont piss ur lady off too much when u get here n just wanna surf the whole time.

Stretch, are you surfing places at night or something? First off, it's been basically flat for the entire summer except for a few weak days...but, surfing alone, I seriously question that.
This place has been mapped, plotted, platted, and dissected. The SUP's, spongers, butt surfboarders, long boarders and shortboarders all know where the waves are.
You keep offering to show your secret spots but people need to know a couple things before moving to Shangri-La here.
Very few jobs, dinner/lunch cook, wait staff, maybe. Island unemployment at record highs.
Start your own business? Good luck.
House breakins a fact of life.
Drive w/o a local DL, get in an accident, you're 100% liable, for driving illegally.
Dodge drunk drivers every weekend night if you go out.
It was paradise at one time. It still has it's moments.
    Call it paradise past.
But giving people the idea that there are secret surf spots here is a bit misleading.

That's cool, bud. Takes real huevos. I did a similar thing when I was 21 and ended up in SoCal. Changed my life Horatio Algar, go West young man like. I'll hit you up if I'm ever back on the W side of PR. Do the same if you're ever in my neck of the woods. You're the only cat on here sayin', come visit, I'll show you some secret spots, that's real cool man. Well, my spots aren't secret, but they are little more locally known than others. My 'scription is always filled too, they deliver like Domino's out here, but I go right to the source. Legal like O'Dweeds man. Haven't been to Puerto Rico since I was a teenager in the early 90's. Thought it was real chill. Had some friends who's dad was a Naturalist Dr. on a nature preserve on the south side of the island (I think). They rehabbed manatees there, I remember feeding a baby one lettuce. I also saw the biggest damn iguanas I've seen out on that island wherever that nature preserve was. Made the 20 odd pound monitor lizards on Yap and Rota look like chickens next to Turkeys. Makes me hungry just thinkin about it. Good times. Did you know Spanish before you moved down there?

thanks for the compliments, mr. meat.
Since Kelly won the last title at Middles, it's still an unknown, uncrowded spot. Sure it is.
Take a look at any web site's map of the island's surf spots.
You don't know what you're talking about.

  10. Zagaffer sounds like uve traveled the road im just starting. N ill def b in cali sumtime to check out the situation there. Alot of what ive seen around here is alcoholism n all the attitude that goes with it. But as far as the surf you can catch waves everyday w the right eye and a good four by four. And tropic surfer. U can walk down to jobos the most crowded beach on the island and the place is so lit up from people partying you CAN surf at night by urself. Check it out sometime. N just m earshot from middles actually on the other side of the rock is a baddass left barrelin everytime middles is and nobody rides it. Go another couple hundred yards and u have las dunas. Again people just leave that spot alone. And twp hundred yards from that is alittle spot i like to call gators. Check these spots man. U might start catchin waves to urself to. Sounds like u kno the grind of pr tho. Do u live here? If so lets get up n shred n holler at eachother
