    If only I could....

    If only I could
    Make Leslie my bride
    She puts wind in my sails
    And waves by my side
    While many a man
    May steer clear of her path
    For her's is no worse
    Than any other woman's wrath

    ...sorry, that's what happens to me while staring at the wave cam from my office, on it like stink on s**t tomorrow!

    Nam quid feci ego quidve sum locutus, cur me tot male perderes poetis?

    For what have I done or what did I say, that you should burden me with so many bad poets?

    Here's some poetry that might pluck the ol heart strings:

    There be none of Beauty's daughters
    With a magic like Thee;
    And like music on the waters
    Is thy sweet voice to me:
    When, as if its sound were causing
    The charméd ocean's pausing,
    The waves lie still and gleaming,
    And the lull'd winds seem dreaming:
    And the midnight moon is weaving
    Her bright chain o'er the deep,
    Whose breast is gently heaving
    As an infant's asleep:
    So the spirit bows before thee
    To listen and adore thee;
    With a full but soft emotion,
    Like the swell of Summer's ocean.

    Yeah yeah that's a nice poem, I never claimed to be a poet and I wasn't trying to outdo Lord Byron...it's called breaking balls while sitting at work waiting for tomorrow to come. I'm sure I could find hundreds of nice nautical poems and post 'em here but in all reality I'm not a fan of prose of any kind so don't get your panties all in a bunch.
