Really? There have been fun waves for the last 5 days. Last night was perfection in Md. This morning was still good and this afternoon could be fun again with chest to head high waves. I would take this anyday over macking board breaking surf with a 20 minute paddle out.

After this past summer anything over waist high is epic, bud.

If we had a better summer, this wouldn't seem so great. But considering the lack of solid swell in general (I know, we've had plenty of "fun" days, but few days worth remembering), I'm calling it great!

Found some head high gems in southern RI yesterday, after a couple hours in crumby conditions at another spot...I'm happy.

I almost went straight home after my morning sesh which was a sloppy closeout fest, checked a few spots on the way and found what I was looking for...just poke around a little, you'll find something. Good luck.

  8. It wasn't "all time" or "epic" but there were some sick waves in VB this week. Got some head high waves out on the log on tuesday, got pitted on my shortboard on wednesday, and I had a blast shredding up the sections on my fish yesterday morning. I ain't complaining.

i can't remember the last time i surfed 4 days in a row like this, so i'd say that's pretty great. as many have said, it certainly isn't "epic" or "all time" or "classic" or any of a thousand other adjectives surfers seem to carelessly throw around like confetti. the one thing i will describe this swell as is "fun".

6 straight days of surfing waves as small as thigh and as high as head, 80 degree water here in FL, felt like I went on a lil surf trip. Obviously nothing epic, but its been a while since its been surfable for this many straightdays.
