Firewire quadraflex delam/soft spot

Question:

I have a Firewire quadraflex developing a delam/soft spot about 4-5 inches around where I grab the board to duckdive on the left side of the deck of the board. My plan is to drill 3 holes or so and inject epoxy resin with a needle of some sort. Then I will use pressure to adhere the glass back on. After that, I will do a topcoat and sand down.

My main concerns are:

Will it just happen again around the same area in the near future?

Will it throw off the weight of the board (on the left side) for when I go right?

If anyone has anything to add or take away, I would greatly appreciate it. I do not want to drill or cut the board but I think it is necessary at this point.

You could get away with drilling holes and injecting resin, I had to dremel out my delams, remove the 1/4 inch of foam that surrounds the other foam because it was smashed down to 1/8. I then used a 2 part liquid foam to replace the removed foam, reshaped the foam, then reused the original pieces that I dremeled and re-glassed them in. This was an experiment that worked out for me. My firewire now good as it was when first purchased.

Just sayin, you probably can get away with just injecting resin, but if you smashed the 1/4 inch piece, it should come out.
