I broke it on Wednesday Sept 5th down around Bradley Beach. That was maybe the second day of the swell.
Yeah, $200 was a little more than a I wanted to pay to fix it up. The board was in pretty bad shape when I bought it. One of the rails needed a lot work and there was a bunch of dings. I probably threw good money after bad. I let the idea of "saving an old board" blind me to the fact that I was spending too much to fix it.
When I was talking to the wife last night she reminded me that I have "better" ways to spend my free time(working on the house, mowing the lawn, or spending time with the baby) than playing a broken board. So we'll see where this project goes.
