Help me with this Greg Noll

A friend of mine has this board that he is interested in selling. I'm interested in finding out if it's real and how much it's worth. I know that "da-cat's" were replicated by another company, but wondered if I should be worried about it with other greg noll boards.
My friend said that his uncle gave it to him and he had bought it in the 60's.
I didn't measure how tall it is, but it's around 9', has yellow stripes and a green strip. The paint looks to be on top of the board, not under the resin. The green strip looks to be added later, maybe covering a ding. I didn't notice any writing on the board. No numbers and no sigs. It looks to be a 1960ish board based on the type of logo it has. It has several rail dings on the sides. Should this be restored? What do you think it's worth? I might be interested in buying it from him, but want to give him a fair price (if I can afford it). Do you have any thoughts on who might know more about it?
    Thanks!

Looks pretty sweet, but who knows if it's legit. It very well could be, has your friend mentioned how much he would be asking for it?

He didn't through out a firm number, but thought it was worth around a thousand. I said I had no idea but could very well be, or it might be worth more, or not be based on the condition.

I've never used this service nor bought from these guys, but I've drooled over their boards enough, you might give them a shot:

They do appraisals for 9.95$. I bet they even have a wacky inflatable, wavy arm guy out front, I would.

What a beautiful Noll. If the board was under my roof, it would be on a wall - I hope that you are thinking the same.

Got a coco beach custom that was my dads. its an 8'5 which he says was a shortboard when he was surfing it. In great, great shape. only weighs about 35 lbs.... It has the sweetest paisley print topside. I'd never sell it, but out of curiosity, wonder what it might be worth. Its not on a wall because I surf it a few times a year when its tiny and I'm jonesing. I pull a sweet fake five about half a foot from the nose....
