    Edit: insane picture above...
well aware - all true for gov't money, but insurance money is bought and paid for.

I am from Ocean County, but live further inland now... I wish I could be there to help. My friends and family are reporting major flooding, not much I can do. I can't believe how hard they were hit.

Chris Christie is supposed to visit there some time today. Not sure when. I'm sure they'll have reporters following him so we may be able to get a glimpse of the damage.

Christie just gave a news conference. Lavallette, seaside heights and ortley are under water. Expect the worst. He'll be touring by helicopter some time soon (as of 11:00am 10/30) since there is nowhere to land. Said he will makes pics available. No one allowed back on barrier island for the next few says

Doubt many will be surfing in NJ today with all the cleanup to do. LBI is under water. The Funtown Pier in Seaside is wrecked. Heard reports of houses in Brick being swept away and are bumping into the causeway bridge. Don't think AC or OC fared much better....

Super Fish - Good luck to those of you at Little Creek.

Any word on Dam Neck? I imagine they probably also took a pretty tough hit, given their location.
