    Question this forum

So there is plenty of action in the Mid Atlantic Forum and not much going on in the Southeast and other regional forums...

I attribute much of this to me contributing more to my home area and getting things started... So how do we get users to start wanting to interact in the Southeast? The Wrightsville Beach area has the highest amount of traffic on Swellinfo so I know you guys are out there...

    Hmmm...

ok there, i registered. from my experiences, carolinians spend less time online and more time in the water.

well, they are certainly online checking the forecast pages. just havent broken through into the swellinfo forum yet. I've seen some other pretty active local forums.

Just considering condensing the local forums into one community wide forum. i really like the idea of keeping things local tho...

there's no doubt this feature should be kept local. it's just that a lot of us like using the forecast tools on here but don't really want to talk here. our forum space is the atlantic

Considering we hardly get surf down here (i.e. WB), people do spend a lot of time behind the computer. Furthermore there are several forums that get a fair amount of activity (e.g. wblive and eastcoastsurf). In general, I think it is difficult for a new forum to draw contributors of other sites to a new one. However, once there is momentum, it begins to snowball. They asked this same question on the new riptide.com.au forum, b/c there has been little activity on the forums but the site itself is drawing a lot hits.

BTW, I heard you got some nuggets yesterday; some guys down here went up and said they saw you snag some good ones.

I thought about coming up yesterday, but 4/3 ripped and only have a 3/2. I guess I need to wait until April. Water here in Wrightsville is getting warm fast; still fullsuits, but no boots. Looks like Sat could get fun again.

Looks like some potential for NSC Saturday. March can be such a great time to surf in the Carolinas. Hope you guys get some.

Keep the SE free. There may be less traffic for us, but at least it's ours.
