What is the skill level for a contest like this? I'd like to try a contest but would like to be competitive in it and not embarrass myself.

this contest is strictly for fun! sure there are good surfers in the OPEN surfing division as well as the high school age division and younger. in the end we are just trying to raise money for a good cause, and give the kids something fun and positive to do!

No lonboard division for the over 40 guys with surgically repared shoulders like myself. Hate to admit that I only short board when it get too big for the longboard/ travel. will still go and bring my kids to check out and donate to the cause.

def no longboarding this year. there just isnt enough time in the day to be able to put it on with the correct tide. hopefully all the wrinkles will be worked out after this year to let us do a non short board open division in the future
