12/27/12 - Jersey or NY?

I live in ny and im trying to figure out if its worth it to drive to jersey tm or just stay here and hope winds go nw...any suggestions?

Dirty Jersey looks like it's gonna be all time tomorrow! We shall see wind is huffing right now and should switch to West by 7 am... the rest will be up to King Neptune

Why does swellinfo say SW winds for Thursday in Long Beach, NY but the weather channel has N winds shifting to NW? If its SW winds it will probably suck but if its N it might be worth checking out. Can anyone clear this up?

13.0ft @ 8s from 90° (E) LI buoy , it's offshore in DE already but I think this strong easterly wind is gonna mess up the sandbars again.
