It’s cheap and right on the water in Pacific Beach (San Diego).
There’s decent surf right out front of the hostel. Make a reservation as far in advance as you can as it fills up quickly, especially in the summer time. I reccomend springing for the private room. There’s a grocery store right across the street (more or less) to get cheap food and booze from, lots of places to rent boards from and plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance.
On a side note, if you have any pictures of yourself in a bathing suit, you should probably post those on this thread, so that we can let you know if it’s legal to wear or not. We have very strict laws about the kinds of bathing suits you can wear in California.
P.S. Watch out for Moose and Squirrel while walkink. Raskolnikov!

Surf trip near Los Angeles/San Diego
I'm traveling to California with my boyfriend this july and I would like to spend 2 to 3 weeks for surfing. I'm an intermediate surfer and my boyfriend is more a beginnner. Do you recommend some good surfing spot (preferably outside the big cities and not crowded) with some cheap accomodation option near the beach (we will not have a car, so it would be perfect if the accomodation is within walkink distance from the beach) ?

Thaks for the answers and regards from Slovenia
