Length doesn't necessarily mean what it used to mean to us.

Once upon a time 8 foot single fins were usually narrower and thicker than shorter singles, because they were designed for big waves. By going wider that longer for big waves only theory no longer applies, and they still do as well or better in sizeable waves than the narrower boards.
Like i said its only my taste. I firmly stick with my theory a person is only limited by what they think their board can do. I rarely ride anything over 5'8 unless its my longboard. My fish is my go to and at 5'3" or 4" its handled up to double over just fine.

I like the bottom pic the best if the board was like 5'5ish. Single fin, smiles all day.

I hear what you are saying.

Just as a matter of interest if the boards above were scaled down in both planshape dimensions to 6' they'd be 18 and 3/4" wide.

Well then i'd rather not do a direct scaled down model. Well maybe that 6' would be good fun. In fact thinkin about it more that'd be quite fun. It'd definitely be a little rocket.

would this be a 4 figure board? 5, 6? or more? do you believe in intellectual property? can it be replicated on a cnc machine?

The boards are shaped on a cnc machine, the files are protected but there are plans in place to have them made under licence in the USA.

Price wise they are in the upper range for foam boards of that size, so four figures.

if you were a real man you'd place the files on open source, man up hipster

    I cant add enough emphasis:

if you rely on copyright you're a ****ing p@ssy with a fake-@$$ product. put it out there and let the marketplace determine if you have a turd or a brownie. your 'price out' technique is bourgeoisie garbage.

failure to post the files will show your true colors (and why you may have gotten the boot from swaylocks: cause your design is sh!t) if your design is worthwhile everyone will be braggin they are riding a 'Roy' put it in the proletariat price ranges, let the user decide if its worthwhile

make it happen genius, otherwise, you are a fake-@$$ BS artist

I don't see any justification for that theory.

They are my designs and I've dedicated over 20 years to their development so I'm entitled to own them. It's also taken 6 months just to learn to operate the software correctly and to refine these shapes.

Besides there are ways to copy a board which I can't prevent and I accept that but I'm not handing the files over, they won't even work for regular shaping machines anyway.

If you were a real man you'd stop trying to 'boy' other men around, in my opinion.
