Roy the responsibility is on you to prove that your boards are worth more then the materials that are used.
I think you need to take a business class. And by the way, your boards are not really comparable to any sort of "highly valued" art. they are just heavy logs. I have a 9 foot crestwood surfboard. the board was made in the 60's. It is the heaviest thing I have every carried to the beach. Its also the fastest board I've ever surfed and I'm certain that it is faster than your boards. UNLESS YOU PROVE OTHERWISE.

sounds like you can't grasp the concept. anyone can charge anything they want for anything. price and value are not the same thing (and value does not equal cost of production). think about a painting that costs a million dollars that "does nothing" and only cost a few bucks to produce. who's to say what a millionaire wants and is willing to pay for?

Precisely, and if one compares such prices with the disposable incomes of the buyers it puts it into perspective... some of these people earn 20 to 30 million per day, spending a million for such people is a relatively trivial expense which can be done on a whim.

The price is what it is in the case of my boards because it feels right, it's not necessary for people to burden themselves by getting upset about it.

A lot of these comments sound like communist ideals... don't you fellows live in America?

I'm not required to do any such thing, and you are free to think what you like about my boards and their price.
