    Wow, the BOTD from the perspective of your shot looks just about DOH to me (9-10ft) ... would you agree? BTW, your photo of Croatan is listed under the 1st street jetty location ... I know that's where you took the shot from, but it probably makes the photo a little harder to locate :-)

    i was out all morning. it was fun but kinda jumbled. did it really glass off that nice this afternoon??

    I didn't go out but was there this afternoon between 2:30-4:30 with my wife. We walked from the public parking lot down to the inlet and back. I don't think it cleaned up much from the morning. It was a bit jumbled when we were there. About 20 surfers were out along that stretch. 4 or 5 were having a heck of a time getting past the white water, some finally giving up. At least they tried. One guy on a pink soft top (?) was really struggling and not making headway. I got tired just watching him. He was persistent, I'll give him that.

    Glass off is a stretch, but it became pretty managable around low tide for a couple of hours at croatan yesterday. Looked like it went back to sh*t by about 3pm
