Lightbulb Simple question, or is it?? Lost v2 or neckbeard,

I have been researching both of these boards for a while now. Got the chance to ride a 5'4" V2 rocket which is way to small for me (5'10" 150lbs) but I could still catch waves. Pretty much only surf West coast florida mush, and east coast florida mush, and the 5'11" flyer I have isn't cutting it in anything below stomach with some kick to it. Need to go shorter and fatter which do you prefer: I'm 5'10" 150lbs

    Lost v2 rocket 5'7" or 5'8"
    Neckbeard 5'7"

Thanks, see ya in the water

I think something like the plank would do you well. If you're talking gulf coast waves then go for something with little rocker and lots of foam. Roberts makes a board called the mush machine that would probably do real well in your surf.

along the lines of the plank and the roberts board, you could go with the pier pony by JS.

the matrix also looks pretty sick and is a bit more performance oriented than the pier pony (probably closer to the neckbeard). my brother in law has the pier pony and its pretty much all he rides (Wilmington, NC). he rides it from like 2' up to 6'

find a local shaper and tell him the aspects that you like from both boards. It will be cheaper than CI and have your name written next to the stringer.

this. not to mention that it'll be more/better attuned to the waves you surf, rather than waves in ventura, san clemente, santa barbara, or australia. & saying there aren't any isn't an excuse any more...esm just published an entire article about east coast shapers in their latest issue & listed dozens from every state. pick one & have at it.

I have the v2 and love it to death, but I like the plank a lot better. catches EVERYTHING. The v2 is easily the most responsive board I've ever ridden though..you can go way bigger on those. I'm the same height and somehow only 130lbs but I have a 5'9" v2 and wish I got it slightly bigger
