So what if there's no bees left. We can genetically modify horseflies to do the same thing.
They can multi task with pollen and poop on their little feets.
Monsanto has done some amazing things. Like in the town my brother died in. He moved into a "cancer cluster" neighborhood a couple years after being diagnosed with Leukemia. lots of info here.
My dad, a retired chemist for the army, worked summers for Monsanto in the town.

Some folks in my neighborhood my wife and I know through our garden club keep bees. I think they try to maintain 4 hives year round. I've been thinking about starting one or two hives next year myself.
We could snuff out any impending bee population disaster if more people got into beekeeping IMO.

there was a big wild hive in a hole in a tree behind the VB Amphitheater. the hive split last year. this year I've seen no bees in the tree.
