yeah - with the Sanford situation (as opposed to the Jersey Shore "Situation"), i am not sure SC should critique anyone's leadership.

Christie gets some points for sticking up for his voters versus the party and for some good sound bites. Like most of these guys he is looking out for #1 and will serve the people when those interests coincide. He has made some improvements in the state and probably screwed some things up. He does a good job of the "i'm one of you guys" image. and he was video'd eating a donut just before lap-band surgery.

he is a fatty which does not speak to leadership but certainly to lack of self control

I've heard the "He's fat so he must be a bad leader" argument before. And I think it's complete BS every time I hear it. Actions and ideas speak more than body type.

With that being said, I'll bow out of the argument since I'm from SC and was not invited.

I normally don't trust any politicians. They are usually out for themselves and only themselves...
BUT I think Christie truely cares about New Jersey and wants to do what's best for it's citizens.
And the fat thing is just stupid. Using that against him just makes you sound like an ignorant. Maybe your gut isn't the best judge of character.

I tend to think that with the Obama administration being what it is today with all the scandals, unconstitutional executive orders (like the NDAA & National Defense Resources Preparedness) you can't really go wrong being a republican. But its the total other way when the Rebloodlicans are in office too. They are demonized. So in my opinion...vote Libertarian or Independent.

I see you either read or heard of jesse venturas book, which is cool with me.anyone who has the common sense to look into jesses work is fine by me.

I was never a big fan or Christie,or Corzine, both parties so id say not satisfied with either.mcgreevy was good but he resigned because hes gay.i don't care if their gay, fat, whatever,i dislike for real reasons like Christie cutting schools.the school I graduated from was shut down by Christie.he wanted to start charging tuition at a school that's been free since 1963.another flaw is Christie layed off a lot of cops in bad cities like Newark, trenton, camden, and Paterson.places that need cops.corzine is a big crook, mcgreevy was a good man.he didn't raise property taxes or lay off teachers and cops.

Thanks for acknowledging just a few of the terrible things he has done. I don't care a about dem or republican. Corzine was horrible but Christie takes the cake. Zero respect for the environment or the middle class. Even less respect for the lower class. So ya... He prob will be prez

yeah I hear ya on the schools thing. In my opinion though, the teacher's union runs the entire state here. Its to a point where because of it our taxes are so high and planning for a future in this state is beyond my financial means...and I'm an engineer! I mean if a friggin engineering salary can't cut it in this state then I have to move on. Not that it's much better in other parts of the country but I do think there needs to be some serious action taken to reduce taxes and privatizing education is one way to do it. I went to private high school. I'm not from a wealthy family by any means but my mother and father sacrificed to send me to it because they didn't trust the public schools in my area (I lived in a not so nice area). In fairness, it was "cheap" back then at only 4-5k a year. I only saw a standardized test maybe twice. The teachers swore at us, wrote their own curriculum, and were passionate about educating. Yes, swearing at me actually was a good thing because I was treated like an adult at 14 years old. The majority of educators I know in the public school system feel trapped and refuse to step out of the confinement of their pre-mandated curriculum for fear of reprimand. So I agree with the principle of cutting schools in favor of privatization however the practicallity of implementing it under the current socio-economic climate is limited. This is why I vote independent or Libertarian. They are for real change, and not just trying to legislate everything to appease the masses.

Education in my opinion is the most important of all things for our society and I have less faith in a publicly run education system. It, like most government run systems, becomes a snake that eats its own head. Case in point: NJ Public School Teachers' Union does some of the most lobbying in the state. As a consequence the taxes are raised, money is tighter, and private education becomes less of an option or not an option at all for some. Higher taxes force those with middle class income to move to lower income areas and go to worse off school systems which causes the cycle to repeat. I see it happenenig all over this state. I am the most successful generation in my family's history and I am also the first that is taking a step back by living in a worse area than what I grew up in. The younger generations are regressing in record numbers. Its scary actually.

lol, the fat man is a tool . The bankrupt state has all but emaciated anyone reeling in under 100gs and his bs , its too much . The NJTPA , the pension he claimed he saved is a 23 bil portfolio , in 3 short years 12 bil a year is owed to the retired teachers , oopppps. I guess thats how a fat politician saves himself in the media, spin it .
