If any one can help, I'm taking a 5 week trip in either October or November. I've been to Bali before and just want cheap living and great surf. El Salvador, Nicaragua or indo again I just don't know what would be best.
Any advice would be great.

Hours of bench-offs seems to be the obvious selection.

Spent the month of September in France back in 2007. Out of 30 days only two days of no surf. Great weather great people a lot of campsites right on the beach renting out trailer units for about $20 a day. The waves were epic and Spain is a short drive anyway. Lots of different spots and you can find waves with no one around. Miles and miles and miles of deserted beaches. The northern part of France as a lot of reef point set ups. a bit pricey if you're not careful with your money but with the beach camping rentals you can easily cook for your self. The culture was epic Paris is a short train ride away and the mountains are only two hours from the coast by car. Been to Indo several times and lived in costa Rica for a year and by far France was my favorite. If I had the money and if France wasn't in such economic trouble I would definitely move there.

Morocco would be a killer option. November would be in the swell season too.

We drank pretty hard while we were there. 2/3's of the time we were in our condo but definitely drank out in restaurants too. A bunch of French chicks around especially in the Taghazout area. SO MANY uncrowded areas to explore with great waves and killer set-ups. I'd love to go back and explore some of the desert areas with a guide. I travel as much as possible and it's easily one of my favorite places. I could do 60 to 90 days with no problem. My wife (blonde hair, blue eyes) actually came along on that trip and had minimal issues either besides a few stares from the local women for being "under dressed" Oh yeah, hash cookies everywhere

But, since I haven't been & you have, I defer to your experience. From your description, sounds pretty good after all; on the list it goes, with a couple of caveats that I'll discover the truth of for myself.
