PB&J and SUPplement are primed for a bare-knuckle, no holds barred showdown. They got a lil aggro in the same way that infamous microscopic peak in Delaware was the catalyst between white rash guard dude and whoever the other culprit was. Ill be the referee, but I can't promise I won't jump in and submit both of them simultaneously with guillotine chokes. Can't help myself sometimes. No aggro, just playful primate behavior.

Thread: Should I Stay or Should I Go?
Jun 22, 2013, 08:29 AM #121
I don't care what people post on here. I'm not one of those Swellinfo quality control dudes who complain aboot threads they feel are inappropriate or don't meet their high standards. I don't care. I believe in free speech. The only threads that bother me are the constant wetsuit questions. Really guys, wetsuits really aren't that complicated.
I posted, my first submission aboot this topic from another angle and was serious. It gave an alternative view and scenario than the typical, " Go for it, man !!!!!!!!"
Then I thought, well SUP takes his surfing pretty seriously so let's see how serious and threw out the suggestion to leave his wife and move to the Northern California lost coast. That's all I did. That got SUP all bent.
I wasn't bagging on his thread until SUP - who jokes, makes wise-ass remarks, etc to others - got bent because I said he should divorce his wife and live in isolation. Different rules apply when SUP is serious.
All of a sudden Swellinfo.com is LIFE AND DEATH. Very serious. Of course, I find it odd that someone would seriously consider advice from a group of internet strangers some of whom can't get in or out of wetsuits. Any rational decisive person would. SUP took this thread real serious. Sorry, but I didn't.
Really, how many of you would ax advice and act on that advice from dudes on the internet? Plus, I reckon this, and other swellinfo community participation threads, makes people feel a part of something........viable. Plus, everyone loves to share their opinions, right?
It's funny how a few noble statesmen on here have this guru status, meanwhile they are probably some disgusting, soiled T-Shirt wearing, Cap N Crunch-eatin, child molesters or something. HA HA Like, if I was a chick, I sure wouldn't ax any of youse guys what "choice" I should make.
So Spicoli, you'll have to look towards SUP for any fights. That it went this way to begin with is ridiculous. And, when I'm not jumping into a verbal scrap, then you know it's ridiculous, and there just ain't nothing to scrap aboot. Having said that, all of y'all divorce your wives, sell your kids and go feral. If you don't you're not a real surfer.

The wetsuit questions, yes, those have been posted ad nauseum. I agree that many to most of them are lack of common sense in finding a suit that fits like body paint (because any other is a waste of money and time to put it on) although I do understand when one seeks counsel when buying an item that there is a wide market for and can cost up to several hundred dollars much like a board purchase. But no one seems to use the search feature, and who the heck wears wet suits anyway? I ditched mine as soon as the water hit mid 50s but then again, there are probably some that will warn me of some condition like Swimmer's Butt.
The main issue at hand is your use of the word "feral". I will have to footnote/cite you as I go forth and overuse it because my use of "primate" and "primordial' is rampant and needing variety. Just like Bodhi, you know we can never be caged.

Also, one never "goes" feral. We merely release the inhibitions that were placed upon our natural ferality by betas that wished to preserve themselves by collectively stripping the strong of their survival mechanisms.

Here is my advice;
You can never over-analyze these moves.
If you are going to regret NOT going, then go. Things will work themselves out in the end.
My girlfriend and I recently moved from the east coast after home was destroyed to California. I quit a pretty good job (Quicksilver) and she left the rat race of NYC. We rented a place 4 blocks from the beach and it was the best decision my girlfriend and I made. Things slowly worked out.
Don't analyze it, just go. You won't regret it.

Is this the longest running surfing soap opera thread in the existence of the Swell Info forums?
Jun 25, 2013, 11:56 PM #130
It's also been an excellent thread in total where we have seen the true colors (in a great way) of many characters on here on real life topics. There was some bickering and usual Tom Foolery woven between the depth of haphazard intellectual exchange.
Yes, at times it got a bit emo and resembled a male version of The View, but us primates need occasional honing of our sensitive sides if we are to successfully appease or rope them thoroughbred mares. But where's the harm in that? You're telling me you don't find time to pump the fist and crack your voice at the top of your lungs attempting to belt out 80's rock ballads like I Saw Red by Warrant?
This thread started as a waltz, progressed to the Electric Slide, took a sharp turn into a b-boying/breakdancing battle between SUPplies! (anyone know that joke?? +1k for you if so) and PB&J that morphed into them doing the salsa, and now here we are, all ready for NJshred and gruvi to Teach Us How To Dougie. It's a beautiful synchronicity of the best and most honest parts of all that have partaken in this mosaic of introspective brahpalooza.
I can't speak for everyone else (just PB&J when I'm speaking his unspoken Beautiful Mind language ), but I don't want it to end. As for the soap opera component, it's like Real Surfbrahs of Jersey/Carolina/Florida/Long Island/Boston/San Diego/Gulf of Mexico/Delaware/Rhode Island in one. Imagine watching the equivalent of Real Housewives on mute while you had every Sublime albums blasting concurrent with the RH marathon?
Thanks for keeping the thread living another day. For if it starts to die out, I will defibrilate this bad boy before you can say "shot the pier" in a fast-forward Alvin & the Chipmunks voice. Long live the brahstival this thread has become.
Clemmy...buddyyyyyy...bouts time for another group outing. This time at my place on the beach. If there are no waves I'll call in the Coast Guard to rip a vessel all afternoon/night to get a surfable wake going. I've got the BBQ items covered, LB - you bring the snack packs (you da coolest!), PB&J can bring up 6 half-barrels of Yuengling, Clemmy has white lightning duty, NJshred can bring his harem of tail (leave the Hindus behind), Erock can bring the white girl and his wit, chiccarone can something cool we just don't know about, Roy Stewy can haul some wild game from Auckland and we can serve this regal smorgasboard all on his 76-foot/172-stone superkalafragalistic wooden longboard and still have room for assorted midget and Mexi catering help to sit on the nose and tail.
Honestly though, the jump off of all jump offs is about to go down in my village this weekend and I've got the prime location. The only thing preventing that aforementioned Project Spot-X from being on like Donkey Kong is if you guys don't PM me and show up. Best of all, there is allegedly some stormy swell (3-4ft; so in my mind 8-10ft) at the breaks that are a pedi-cab ride away from the frat house my crib will be. If you think I'm joking, then stay home, stay dry, and prepare for the regret of hearing what you missed. If this type of Hangover IV tickles your fancy (or fiveskin) then drop me a PM and I'll give you the deets. Again, this is 100% truth and I say that as I swear on the graves of both WWII grandfathers and Mark Foo.
This has been a public service announcement, albeit devoid of pantsing myself in public. Back to the regularly scheduled Meaning of Life thread.
(PB&J...I give you 90 seconds to PM me in response)
