bukroe tommorow

i just saw something on the news about big waves in buckroe beach, it looked sick, so im thinking a bay session for surf tommrow

I've heard that place breaks. I have a friend who used to live there and said it used to get like waist to chest high on a strong northeast swell.

Is this mostly N wind swell that gets in there from the fetch in the chesapeake, or ground swell that rolls through the entrance of the bay there?

honestly i have no clue.. but they only showed about 4 shots of the bay on the thing i saw and the random clips they showed looked fun.. it was like solid waist barrels, and i know what a northwest wind is offshore there, ill tell u how it turns out, i wouldnt be making a drive up or down here just for the offshore winds though anyone, its gonna be a crapshoot 4 sure

I have surfed it really good when I used to live in Va...the same goes for the beaches near the CBBT.

ohhhh man it was sick today!!! I surfed bukroe at waist to chest and barreling, it was really fun. Barrels and air sections in the bay!!! we even checked out this one spot and it was a straight up point break that sectioned of these rocks and peel for at least 20 seconds, but it had all sorts of crazy sticks poking out of the water. we talked to one kid out at the place we ended up surfing (which was a jetty that straight wedged) and he told me it was good that we didnt paddle out at that one spot cause people have before and all got ****ed up by the sticks.. but anyways ya, bukroe beach is pretty sick
