You can pretty much bottle the fog this morning. I got in based on the sounds of wave breaking. Probably 20 foot visibility. Had on the 3/2 and was sweating. Some fun ones. Tomorrow should be good.

This is what it looked like when the fog cleared. NJShreadmachine was just getting out. "You missed it, man. It was really firing an hour ago."

My guess is it was about 70 at AI this morning. I doubt we'll see much in the way of upwelling with the S wind all weekend. Generally you need a good westerly to bring up the cold water, but be prepared!

It was flat every time I saw the water.

Croatan was pretty decent today. I checked surf cams in the AM and checked out the jetty; but decided to hit Croatan anyways. Was out from around 11am-6pm and was some pretty decent sets in there.

Waves were showing a good ground swell effect it felt as they were more solid and perfect speed for longboarding and a few guys were out on the shorties doing good. Wish I went short today myself.

Temp - Huge difference today than Wednesday. Didn't rock a suit; but that initial shock had my boys hiding for cover if you know what I mean...

I was out this morning off VB as well. Water was a bit cooler than yesterday. I was trunking it, but it wasn't bad. No more shorty until mid/late-OCT or so.
