I don't understand your commitment to always spouting "conspiracy". Are you saying there is no such thing as GMO crops, and livestock? "THEY" say the way to tell if a plant is GMO is to put Roundup on it and if it doesn't die, It's GMO.

But Monsanto is a Job Creator. No rules apply to them.

Archy, why are you thanking yourself?
the claim that GMO crops increase yields and reduce the use of pesticides have been proven to be false statements.

In one article you presented, it states that Guatemala's corn yields have failed to meet their population increase. coincidentally the US has pushed Guatemala to use GM corn.

BTW santiago58 thanked me. i'm not him, so please get over the assumption that I have multiple identities on this forum. thank you

I didn't present an article. It was a study. The links you are posting are articles (except one). BTW, a few of the articles you posted are just BS. The scientific american one was fluff with no data that has been criticized by many scientists. As I said, we should stick to data and studies here, and less obscure and general articles from random publications. I posted a full study, performed in 2013. Please spend the time to actually seek out similar documents.
I am sure your one defender just happened to magically reappear less than 20 min after you posted.

Opinion and emotional reporting. No science or real data on why it didn't work.

    http://www.scientificamerican.com/po...-feed-09-04-16
Fluff and poor scientific writing. GM is not supposed to make your crops magically grow to epic proportions. It only give the crops a better fighting chance.

    http://www.ucsusa.org/food_and_agric...-to-yield.html
Since I don't have the actual report, only the synopsis, it is hard to judge this. However, UCS is an environmentalists group that doesn't hide their bias. Nothing wrong with that, but I can't just take their word for it without reading the study.

    http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/...8#.UdLg9nddCSq
The only full study, but doesn't specifically list GM crops as a negative. It only states that yields don't differ much.

No reason to read this site. I don't need biased reporting.

I have no doubt that the companies involved in selling seed are skewing data in their benefit. That is marketing, and the same things happen in the organic food world. However, I also know that the global crops will not support our population growth. We can either cut the population (I am all for limiting breeding), or we will have to look to science for viable alternatives for food. GM may or may not be the right track. I think it needs to be studied in depth. I cannot support an outright ban or food boycott related to GM without more testing. In the meantime, I stick to local produce as much as possible. However, not everyone can afford to do the same. I don't think it is appropriate to start a global scare campaign without knowing if there is anything to fear.

It would be nice to stick to studies, yet Monsanto and Syngenta have banned all independent studies to be performed/released. Why? What are they trying to hide?

Getting back to the reason for me starting this thread. I'll say it again. I posted http://m.youtube.com/#/user/Monsanto...ntoVideoRevolt to give people on here information about GMO's in terms of such things as detoxifying their bodies of them. Not to start a debate over GMO-non GMO.

So if you are not interested in the MonsantoVideoRevolt information, please don't troll on this thread.

As far as people thanking me, I guess you think I created Santiago58 a couple of years ago in foresight to irritating people like you. In fact I guess you think I created santiago58 1 year before I created archy. Get real.

Conversing using studies is not trolling. You need to understand the difference. My replies have been civil, so what are you afraid of?

But we wouldn't go to a mid-atlantic surf forum for that information, and it's incessant. If its not GMOs, than its Kony, or contrails or whatever the fear-de-jour is.

The thread is classified under "non surf related". And many surfers on this forum are concerned with what they eat.

I'm not afraid of anything. your first three posts contain no links to studies. They only contained your rhetoric of this thread as being conspiracy oriented. And you also make claims to me having multiple identities on this forum.
That has nothing to do with the thread.
