the GMO issue is a political/civil rights issue. and it doesn't help that the government makes it harder and harder for organic farmers to produce organic foods, and sustenance farmers and community canneries to operate through increasing regulations that forces them to shut down.
so to just grow your own food and turn your back on the issue is apathetic. sustenance farming is only part of the solution.
FYI if you drink bottled water, I suggest you stop. there are estrogen mimickers in the plastic that leach into the water. along with the linings in many canned goods, juice boxes that the children drink, to go coffee cups, and snack food wrappers.
too much estrogen in the body not only lowers testosterone, but is also the cause of numerous illnesses.

Maybe you can go start a non-profit and piss away all donated funds on pamphlets people will toss to the curb. A rabble-rouser calling others out on apathy? Wait a minute...forget that...calling me out on being devoid of excitement and passion? Have you read my posts? GUYS...this cat is saying I'm a "moderate individual" HAHA!! Can you believe that?!
Dude, you had me on your side with all of this until you threw out the apathy bomb because I'm not marching on Washington about this. Are you even? Maybe you should. Would have the potential to change the situation just a bit more than rounding up a bunch of surf bums. You want the nation/government to embrace this change you're calling for? Pose it as a legit civil rights issue and get a few token minorities to be the poster boys/girls.
I hate it when they put chemi in there brah. Just keep the labels of apathy away from me and I'll do you a solid and only buy foods that don't come with labels. See? The world is already a better place! So glad we had this conversation.

vote with your dollars! pass on information regarding GMO's to friends and family too. you'll be surprised how little people know about them or even aware of them. spreading information and making people conscious of the issue helps the fight.
it only took 5% of the US population to start the Revolutionary War.

the FDA banned the use of BPA in baby bottles and sippy cups. that's it! certain companies that make baby products have voluntarily stopped using BPA, but many still do. unless it says BPA free, those juice boxes that parents put in their kids lunch box contain BPA.
unless consumers do their own research as to what contains BPA, they unknowingly by products containing them unless its labeled. but even the labeling of plastics can be confusing for the uneducated consumer. a lot of food packaging still contains BPA.
this post is off topic, yet it shows the corruption within the FDA which tied into the GMO topic, and the politics behind it.
