    AI 6 years ago today

Andy, the legend, passed away 6 years ago today. Loved his style of surfing especially the backside barrels. This video sums up why I surf too. Has really been a big part of my life and helped me get through a lot of crap.

    R.I.P. AI

...but it's pretty aggravating that he really had it all. For all practical purposes, he was the king of Kauai...on top of that, he was young, rich, talented, good looking, had the girl, etc. He could have retired at 32 and coasted with everything we all dream of for the rest of his life.

3 titles, 11 titles whatever. AI was the best surfer who ever lived as far as I can concerned. Style and power.
