Well finally the water is warming up, but for the past 2 months I have been wearing a 3/2 and when I get out of the water I notice that my legs are filled with water. This never happens in the colder months when I have booties on. Not only does it look ridiculous, I imagine it creates some drag. Any suggestions?
This happens to me too. I've got an xcel 3/2. I find the cuff gets rolled up and water gets trapped in there.
RhodyPedro is spot on. The cuffs are letting in water and acting like a check valve. When you have your boots on, it probably creates a better "seal" to keep water out. Not sure how old your wetsuit is, but over time, neoprene will lose its elasticity.
PJB is your man if you got a wetsuit question, he's the resident expert on all things wetsuit related, i'd ask him.
I would reckon that down by your lower leg/ankle area is getting cuffed up and water is getting trapped. But then again why is so much water getting in your suit? Hey maybe your suit don't fit properly? Is water just pourin through your neck area or something? You shouldn't be spending that much time underwater either.
So check the lower leg areas for cuffs. Check your neck area to see if it's way too loose. Stay above the water surface.
Wow Bill Cosby, for someone who first comes on here crying aboot there life situations, you've become quite the cocky little man. Well, good for you. Way to turn the tables.
If this suit were form fitting, I definitely don't think you'd be having this issue. Could be washout through the neck too. I find a suit will have water buildup in the legs more frequently with boots on since the water can't escape out the bottom of the suit.
