Glad you are back your SB, one less SUPer. In all seriousness, it would be much better if everyone was like you on those things. I guess it does come down to everyone being more assertive in a non-confrontational way.

I haven't had many issues with being snaked or dropped in on. If your on a sup don't fool yourself that you are just another surfer in the line up. The looming nature of someone standing 10 -15 feet from you is irritating and distracting and takes away from the experience for everyone out there. The sound of that hull coming up behind you gets me everytime and I'm learning to hate it. Surfers move around and change position but it takes real effort to do it. The stand up guys are always wandering and moving from peak to peak. They never sit still and relax. Ill say it again this is not a problem with snaking etc, it's the constant motion and visual distraction that I find most annoying. At the very least sit down once in a while to give us all a break if you insist on going out where there are surfers.

I have no problems with a competent SUPer in the lineup. I think it just boils down to whether or not you're acting like a kook; and a kook on a giant SUP is even more annoying and dangerous in a lineup than a kook on a surfboard. Don't hog everything from way outside, don't catch waves you can't ride, and definitely don't snake.
I think the problem is that it's an attractive way to surf for someone who's never done it since you don't have to learn how to pop up...and they don't realize that actually surfing on one, or even paddling one isn't exactly easy. So you just tend to see a lot of kooks riding them in places they shouldn't be.

I think all y'all should stop shortboarding, sponging, longboarding, SUP'ing...........
Kneeboarders, if there's any of you left, you guys are cool.....
Bowling, rock climbing, and cycling are so much better. Surfing is a waste of time. Crabs, lobsters, urchins, jellyfish, flounder, rockfish(that's for you, Erock, we call 'em strippers or stripers)............man, it's just not worth it. Humans don't belong out there.
I wonder who bluefish dislike the most? Do dolphins like shortboarders? Do you guys think they have board biases? I wonder..........
Yeah, what's with that?
Those SUP dudes NEVER stay in one general area. They're over there..........
Then they're over here.....
Then they're over there........
Their adderral script must have run out or something. Like, some ADHD going on there or something. Those dudes never stay put. I like when they make their "line-up" 10 yards directly infront of you. I mean, like, right infront of you, and there's no one within 20-30 yards of you.
People baffle me.

It should take you no more than 30 seconds of watching to realize if a SUPer is someone who knows what he is doing or if he doesn't.
