Yeah dude, happens all the time round these parts, I see it about 50% of the time I go out, never really big ones, usually the small guys, but occasionally you'll see a larger one boost some air

And if said ray snakes you or dropped in off the shoulder to punt that biotch, do you grab him by the tail and chomp his eye out? I would! Then I'd go straight to a taxidermist of stuff the sucka.

SUPplies!! What else jumps out of the ocean in your parts? I may have to head down for a break meet-up (friendly of course!) to catch some waves and some marine life that's got a penchant for altitude.

Funny you should ask, yesterday my wife and I went out on a buddies boat with him and his wife. His boat is just a little larger than my SUP (barely exaggerating), he decides that he's going to "chum up the water" with this huge chum block he picked up, I thought to myself, this is going to get real interesting.... well, it didn't take long and I had hooked a 3-4 foot bonnet head shark at the same time that his wife hooked a 3 foot lemon head shark. While we were in the middle of unhooking them another shark, more in the 6-7ft range came flying out of the water and landed within two feet of the boat and made quite the splash. This all happened in a matter of 30 seconds to a minute. Then after let em both go, that was it... NO BS, it was awesome to witness, but I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if that big mutha decided to land in the boat, it would have certainly changed the outcome of this story...

We get these around here this time of year (amongst the other hand full ray species):

Spotted Eagle Ray. They look like "small" Mantas in the water and they jump all over the place. I saw a 4' wide one jump near the boat while fishing last year. The smaller ones jump pretty regularly.

Here's what happens to Florida Woman (wife of Florida Man): http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...rida-Keys.html

Not a ray but a great white punts this wave hard!

No way that's a Great White. It's obviously a Manatee. At Folly Beach.
