The pie chart was more about food choices, not so much the racial breakdown, but if it were (just for sh*ts and giggles) the Cubans would fall into the 30% Spanish pie and Haitians would fall into the 10% misc.

Yeah, til it sneaks up on us and breaks free as a territory of communes and homesteads. Then we will get to see if archy and cresto4 are actually two dudes and also if they can rip.

McCarthyism jokes aside, the Ocean State grows on me more each day and I've had a blast going there this month.

    Where is Thrillmington?
Thrillmington is a place in your heart.

San Juan Cafe is mid-town on Wrightsville Ave in the little strip beside Canady's Sports Center, just East of the intersection with Independence (where Nagila Moroccan Cafe [rip] used to be). The dude who owns it is somewhat of a nationally famous chef. Being a seafood-only kind of person I have to order the mofongo without the pork and he will often whip up special vegan and vegetarian stuff for my wife that always ends up tasting incredible. It's a small restaurant with usually only one waiter, so it can be a little slow service when it's busy.

BTW, he often whips up some absolutely killer spicy humus when some of my friends have art shows at their shop--he's got culinary game across the board.

You underestimate the POWER of the Northern Redneck BBQ. Everything I kill and catch goes in the smoker. (Except for my wife's venison chilli, which hits the friggin spot after a wintertime surf.)

Thank you for the information, Erock. I will make sure to visit San Juan the next time I journey into greater Thrillmington.

Have you checked out Ida Thai? It sounds a lot like San Juan. Super small place with usually only one waiter. I always get the #23 (Spicy Basil Noodles) with tofu & beef. Don't forget a tall glass of Singha beer!

The wife and I go to Thai Spice and Big Thai(original North 4th location) but eat Indian a whole lot more. Phun all the way for Vietnamese fusion--everyone needs to eat there... but not all at once, it's a small joint. Los Portales for Mexican/Central American--most times you can be the only gringo there... best horchata in town.

Dudes, let's get one level of detail deeper into this. Let's peel back the onion and consider AGE. My thoughts by age group:

high school: this is the starting point. All regions are equal.
18-23: North might have a lead here...lot's of good schools that draw women from all over the country.
24-30: Gotta be SoCal - most good looking women I know have lived in or near San Diego at some point.
30-40: Probably still SoCal...something about the lifestyle makes women prettier than they really are.
    40-41: Maine
42-50: Shifting toward Florida, which I consider to be part of the South.
51-100: Florida. Rich retired women with big boats.

Based on your age, where should you be hunting?
