carbon fiber & a proprietary glassing method (future flex)

personal rant: the fact that most of these are being made in thailand or wherever makes the price absurd. if i told you what shop employees can get the gsi haydens for, you'd lose your mind.

bingo. for most surfers, "alternative" designs are much more user-friendly than hpsb type designs & (as 5'5"x19 1/4" & 5'5" redux proved) can still be surfed very aggressively if the rider so chooses.

i still don't get it - it ain't the carbon fiber that justifies the price....that's pretty standard stuff in my local guy's boards for a lot less money. and proprietary doesn't mean it should cost more unless you are licensing the technology from someone else. and if shop employees can get it for a lot less, than that means the cost really isn't that high to start with. maybe marketing hype and subsequent demand at play here?

Because it's way more fun than the below POS which apparently costs $500,000! $750 is a steal!

I was saving up for one but then my friend got it and it didn't make him surf exactly like Ando so now i'm saving for a wavejet.

I've heard they were fragile for such "high tech" materials. Is this true?
